My Fun Experience

….. In the evening (before the sunset) at Kuta beach

y friend and I were there, made some interviews to the foreigners. They were Roberto and Kevin. They were from Italy and Canada. Actually, I was afraid to speak up English with them. But, I forgot it and tried to encourage myself in order to improve my English skill.

            This place is one of our destinations when our class visited Bali. It was the first time we went there. We were very happy at that moment, but we had to do our task. My English teacher asked us to make conversation with some tourists there and it must be recorded. Fortunately, it was done in pairs. At first, my friend and I searched for some tourists. All of my classmates were busy in looking for them too. After a few minutes, my group found a tourist far from us. He was standing when we met him. Confidently, my friend approached him and made a conversation. “Excuse me, sir. May I disturb you?” Oh, he smiled nicely! I thought that it was a good start to begin the conversation. Before doing it, we introduced ourselves one by one. He also introduced himself. He said that his name is Roberto and he came from Italy. He is a chef in Italy. After that, I asked him “With whom did you come here?”. He answered that he had come here with his wife and his friend, Kevin. But Kevin is from Canada. Then Roberto took my friend and I to his wife and Kevin. Even though that day was really hot, we still enjoying our togetherness. They responded each our questions well. We really liked them. They were very nice and friendly. Although, Mr. and Mrs. Roberto could speak Indonesian, they really hoped that we should use English because they knew that we were learning English. Before ending our meeting, we took some photos with them one by one as our remembrances. Finally, after we had finished our task, we took a walk around the beach and watched the sunset together. Wow, what an amazing it was!

I thought it was an exciting activity because we must be brave to speak and be able to respond in English, but I liked it very much. It was my unforgettable experience in Bali.
